Step into the world of a living legend! Chubby Checker exploded onto the music scene in 1960 and never looked back. Known as “King of the Twist”, Chubby Checker is one of the few entertainers who has successfully sustained a career over six and a half decades. He is as popular today as he was in 1960 when the Twist first came out.
Chubby is a record breaker who has sold over 250 million records to date. This has placed him in the number 56 spot in record sales of all time.
The Cowsills
Back in the 1960’s, four brothers who wanted to be The Beatles formed a band called The Cowsills. The original Cowsills consisted of Bill on guitar, Bob on guitar and organ, Barry on bass and John on drums.
Today, the surviving Cowsills continue to make music – sometimes individually and sometimes together – and their harmonies are still as infectious and bright as ever.
The Happenings
The Happening svirtually exploded onto the national charts in May of 1966 with their first single release, “See You In September”. The song quickly spiraled up the charts to become an international #1 record throughout the entire summer.
Today, the group consists of the original lead singer Bob Miranda, Ed Gaudio and Peter Calo. The group is a powerhouse of nostalgia and contemporary material that truly captures the classic signature sound that has made The Happenings a worldwide favorite for 50 years!
